The Skelton Medical Libraries have a new
document delivery system for requesting articles to which the libraries don't
have a subscription, via Interlibrary Loan (ILL.)
You can order articles
to which the libraries don't subscribe via our InterLibrary Loan delivery
system called Clio https://mercermedlibrary.cliohosting.com/
Once at the page, to get started, click where it says "Register for a new
account." You only have to do this once. You can then create whatever username
and password you would like to access this service and order articles. See more
detailed directions for registering below.
When performing research
using one of the Libraries' abstracting databases, such as PubMed or Discovery,
you may come across a citation for which no full text is available. What you
should see in that case is either an icon that says "Get it @ MUSM Medical
Libraries"
Or a link that says "Interlibrary Loan Article Request."
Using the "Get It @ MUSM Medical Libraries" button will take you to a
page that has the "InterLibrary Loan Article Request" link, as seen here
Please note that the system, called Clio, is completely
separate from your MyMercer/Ex-Libris account. When you create your Clio ILL
account you can set it to be the same as your MyMercer account. However, it
doesn't have to be.
The very first time you use this you'll need to
register for a new account. You only have to do this once.
Click where
it says "Register for a new account" as seen below.
Now you can
create whatever username and password that you like. If you have a Mercer email
and you want, you can use the same username and password that you use for your
Mercer email (MyMercer) to create this account.
Now fill in
your first name, last name, whatever email address you want your ILL PDFs to go
to, your status and your department (ie location).
You should
now be able to use the username and password you created to order articles to
which the libraries don't have a subscription!
Remember, to access full
text to which the Skelton Medical Libraries subscribe and to request articles
via InterLibrary Loan, you must use the Skelton Medical Libraries webpage as a
starting point https://med.mercer.edu/library
