Student Guide to MUSM Libraries

Welcome to the Mercer Medical Libraries!

The Medical Libraries offer a variety of print and electronic resources which support the curriculum as well as student research and professional development. The collections includes print and electronic books, journals, databases, point-of-care tools, and models.

Electronic Resources

Databases: The Libraries provide access to specialized electronic resources such as DynaMed Plus, Cochrane Library, ClinicalKey, ISI Web of Science, Search Everything, and many more.

Journals: The Libraries make over 10,000 journals available electronically through the A-to-Z e-Journal List

Textbooks: Over 4,000 textbooks in various specialties (including many primary references) are available electronically through the A-to-Z e-Journal List.

  • On Campus – No login needed.
  • Off Campus - When you see the MUSM Authentication page, log in using your MUID and your initial/default Blackboard password.

Mobile Resources

InterLIbrary Loan

Not finding what you need? Use InterLIbrary Loan to get journal articles, books and book chapters.

Reserve Material

Reserve materials are available in the library. They include all of the Reference and Reserve Books found in the Phase Study Guides. They check out for 4 hours. Many of these books are also availble online.

Blackboard

We manage lists of Year 1 and Year 2 primary readings, as well as recommended clerkship resources that are available electronically.

Research Compliance/Insitutional Review Board Requirements

Research compliance and IRB requirements need to go through one of three institutional processes: Mercer University, Memorial University Medical Center, or MCCG. Check with your project leader or the principle investigator to learn which of the three institutional processes you will follow.
