This bibliography is the third compilation of the
recently published works of Mercer University School of Medicine, and the first
to be offered online. Scientific books, journal articles, published abstracts,
government documents, editorials, letters, and in press items by faculty
members, students, residents, and staff from the period of January 1997 to the
present* are currently included, and this list will be updated regularly by the
Mercer Medical Library. Faculty members are encouraged to send copies of
their new publications to the Library for inclusion in this database and the
Librarys reprint file.
This list of publications was prepared using database
searches and also with the kind assistance of the authors. Works have been
included if they are nationally available in English. The many presentations,
professional and community news articles, and unpublished works prepared by
School of Medicine faculty, staff and students are not within the scope of this
bibliography.
Publications are arranged alphabetically by
first author, whether Mercer faculty or not. The
database may be searched by author, descriptor (includes departmental
affiliation), or publication title. All Mercer author names are in capital
letters. Bibliography lists by department can be created and printed or
downloaded in several formats.
Publications of former School of Medicine faculty
members and students are included if the publication appeared while the author
was at the School of Medicine or if the research was undertaken while the
author was at Mercer. Authors names are generally cited as they appear in
the published work. Therefore, the number of initials or format of the name
used by an author may vary among the references.
Many thanks to the Editorial Committee for its work on
this database. The Editorial Committee is comprised of Library faculty Nancy
Van De Water, Roxanne Nelson, Rita Smith, Miriam Hudgins, and Lee McCarley.
Every attempt has been made to be accurate and complete
in compiling this bibliography. If, however, you find an error or omission,
